Goal #35 Make a Bedskirt

So I FINALLY got the bedskirt completed last week. This was the project that just didn't want to get completed. I tried so many times to get it done and something would always get in the way. I ended up taking it to my mother-in-laws house and she sewed the last part of it because my machine just wasn't having any of it. It's not exactly the look I was going for, but it's something and it's done, so it's staying.

#17 Family Proclamation

For those who know me, you know what a picture fanatic I am. I love taking them and scrapbooking them and viewing them...especially of friends and family. 

Enter the dead space over my spare bed. It was screaming to be decorated. About a year ago I bought a cute little iron scroll and voila...an idea was formed. The time consuming part was picking out pictures, resizing, printing, cutting...

I wanted to put pictures of friends and family around the Proclamation, but quite frankly, my family is getting so big that I couldn't put everyone on there and I didn't want to leave anyone out. So I found pictures of Rhett and me that evoke a happy memory to decorated the frame. On either side of the Proclamation is a family picture. One of mine, one of Rhett's.

We're so blessed to have such great families. I'm so grateful that my parents were in a loving, happy relationship. It taught me to be the wife that I am. I hope that when I have children I can be as good of an example to them that my parents are to me.
