#89 Build a Snowman

I really wasn't expecting to complete this one so quickly. But when we went up to Utah to hunt for a Christmas tree the opportunity just presented itself.

So the snowman was only about 18 inches tall, but I still made one! Nobody told me how difficult it was going to be! I found a couple of rocks for the eyes and some pine needles for the nose and arms. The snowman only lasted about two minutes before Mason decided to knock it's head off. I got one picture in and was on my second when he took the snowman's head for a baseball and his arm for a bat. The first picture below was just a second or two after he did it, so you can still see the devious little expression on his face. But do you really think I could stay mad at him? Look at that cutie!

He was awefully proud of himself.

My pathetic little snowman.

#32 Mission Complete

I've officially completed my first item on my 101 list! I started it on Tuesday and finished sewing it this morning and I'm SO excited about it. I think it's the cutest apron ever. And such a cute model! Thanks Jalee. I was not in a modeling mood this morning and she stopped by right after I finished.

Earlier this year I had a conversation with Heather and I told her that I never wear aprons. I think it's because they make me feel too matronly. She said she lives in them and how you just have to make cute aprons so you don't mind wearing them. So for the last few months I've been looking at aprons, trying to figure out a style I liked and I finally saw enough that I was able to design this one. I bought material a month ago and finally sat down and drew a pattern and figured out what I wanted to do and put it all together. It turned out exactly as I wanted it to, which usually doesn't happen the first time around. So I am very pleased. I'm thinking that it's a little TOO cute, though. It almost looks like a cocktail dress. So I've been thinking about adding a pocket or something to make it look more apron-ie. Heather, how do you normally do yours? Pocket or no pocket? I have just enough material left over I could do a pocket. Let me know what you think.

101 in 1001

That is 101 goals in 1001 days! I'm such a list person and very goal oriented, so what better way to get things done than to make a list of goals I would like to accomplish? Liz has started a trend and quite frankly, who am I not to follow? I plan to do this blog a little different than others working on the same goal. I plan to create a post for each goal and just keep updating the post when I make progress. That way I don't have 20 posts for the same goal and I keep track of it all in one place. Then (if I can figure it out) I'll type out all my goals on the sidebar and link each one to the corresponding post. Can you tell I'm an organizational freak? Ha...I love it. This is SO me!
